We’re on our second drama in this review series: Moonlight Drawn By Clouds
Moonlight drawn by clouds is a drama set in the olden times of South Korea featuring the love story between a crown prince which was played by Park Bogum and a woman who ended up being an eunuch.
Eunuch is a man castrated and then employed to serve in the royal palace.
Hong Ra-On played by Kim Yoo-Jung is forced to live her life as a man in the name of Hong Sam Nom. Due to circumstances she was sold to become an eunuch. It’s rather amusing how she ended up becoming one because there are several tests to pass, including a physical exam.
Aside from the fun plot, which steadily grows into a tense and dramatic slightly troublesome one as each characters background stories entangle, this series has several likable points.
The main casts’ visual are nothing less, as expected of Korea. The acting is daebak as well. And I was really drawn to be more attracted to the second lead rather than the main one. I’d highly recommend this not because of cutie Park Bogum but because of Jinyoung’s character as Kim Yoon-sung. Must not also miss the lovable loyalty of the crown prince’s right-hand man Kim Byung-yeon played by Kwak Dong-yeon.
And of course the hated cast~! The antagonists that make you cringe when you even see them. And that’s actually a good thing, since its their role to make you hate them. The Kim family is a peculiar one that leads to all the twists and turns in this drama. Check them out. And learn their side of the story as well.
And one last point, the second love story on the side. Its like a side dish to your main course. Their story is fun and funny with a lot of misunderstanding that it turns out cute.
All in all I really enjoyed this drama. Have you watched this yet? If not, well you should try and check it out for yourself.
That’s all for now and more to come ^_^
